We got up early and made it to the parade at 9, which is an hour earlier and cooler than last year. The kids got lots of candy and we lasted for almost all of the parade. It got really hot and we left with about 20 floats to go. I don't think we missed much.
After the parade, we went and got some cold drinks then met everyone at Arctic Circle for lunch. We tried pizza pie cafe, but the lines to even get in were ridiculous.
After lunch, our family went and visited Nick's Aunt Coleen who lives in Idaho Falls. Then we met up with everyone else and went and saw "Cinderella" at the discount theaters. It was a great way to stay cool!
Just like in years past, we set up camp in a perfect spot to watch the fireworks. We rode bikes, ate sloppy joes, and danced while we waited for the fireworks to start. It was a fun evening and the weather cooled off just enough to make it enjoyable!
The Fireworks were amazing like normal and we got home super late. By the time we got home and bathed the kids it was past midnight. Then we got up early for 9 AM church. We were all exhuasted, but we made it through the day and made it home. It was a great weekend!
