Thursday was the start of Fall Break for the kids. Nick had Monday off for Columbus day, so he was home and we were able to get the rest of the upstairs painted and somewhat put back together. He ended up taking Tuesday off as well to finish putting the house together and just enjoying the day home. He worked Wednesday, but then took Thursday off so we could all enjoy fall break together. We had originally planned to take the trailer down to the Cabin in Holden, but we decided to stay home instead. Preston hasn't been sleeping well at night, getting up a few times. We think it is his last tooth that is trying to come through that has made him a little grumpy and making us constantly change his diapers and whole outfits sometimes too. So thinking of dealing with that in a trailer didn't sound like the funnest. So we decided to make the most of being home and came up with a few days of super fun family time. Thursday, after lunch, we headed out and went to the zoo first. It was such a beautiful sunny day. It was just a bit cool, but with the sun out it felt really nice. We enjoyed the zoo and riding the carousel. It was Preston's first time on that carousel and he LOVED it! Here are a few pictures from our time at the zoo.
Our next stop was to Hollywood Connection in WVC. We used our pass of all passes, along with a bunch of other people that were there, so it was quite busy. But we enjoyed a few rides before leaving to go find some dinner.
We ended up at Granny Annie's for dinner in Bountiful. We hadn't eaten there before but we weren't disappointed. They have the best scones there!! Yum!!!
By the time we got home we were exhausted, but the kids wanted to have a movie night, so we let them have some popcorn and they made beds downstairs in the family room and they slept down there while watching "Cheaper by the Dozen." It made me excited for our next day of fall break!
