Happy First Birthday Preston!
Preston turned ONE yesterday! We had a fun day celebrating! (See next post). Preston has brought a lot of joy to our family! Don't get me wrong, it has been a lot of work too, but we just adore him and are so glad he is part of our family! He is so smart and is already getting quite the personality. He knows what he likes to eat. Eggs for breakfast, noodles or chicken nuggets for lunch, and mostly always eats what we are having for dinner. He has a TON of teeth! His front four top and bottom, his two top and bottom molars, and three of his k9's are coming through. I have never had any other child have so much teeth at the age of one! It is crazy!! But again, he likes to eat so it makes it easier for him. He has learned to go up and down stairs so we were able to get rid of the gate! (YES!!!!!). He likes to feed himself and likes to take a binky still when he naps. He isn't totally walking but will take steps here and there and can walk across a small room. He loves being outside with the kids and with dad and loves to get dirty, which usually leads to his next most favorite thing, bath time! He would stay in there for hours if I let him. He also tries to get into the tub when the girls are bathing because he just can't stand to NOT be in the tub if they are. It is kinda funny! He is also quite the squeeler. He can be quite loud when he isn't getting his way and will scream. It is most noticeable in Sacrament meeting, which has become a little tough now that he is so mobile. It can be a long hour trying to get him to stay still and quiet. He loves the piano. I can sit him on the bench and he will sit there and play and hit the keys for quite some time. He likes that it can play music and he will try and dance when it plays. He loves music and whenever the kids have on Pandora, he just sits and bops up and down like he is dancing. It is adorable! He loves cars and trucks and knows exactly how to make them move. He will crawl while pushing the car around. I think that is pretty smart for a one year old! He keeps us on our toes and keeps us smiling and we love him for it! We can't wait to see how he learns and grows over the next year!
