Piano Recitals, Parties, Performances, Videos and More to Kick of December!

So December was a crazy, busy and wonderful month!  It started with Kaylee's piano recital.  She did a beautiful job playing a hard version "O Come, O Come Emanuel.  We also finished out the last few weeks of season's pickleball league.  I play with 15 other ladies every Thursday and it is soooo fun!

I helped host Alivia's comp cheer team Christmas party, which was held at Flowrider in Ogden.  Alivia did amazing and it was such a fun evening with the cute girls!

The next morning, we had an early video shoot at the Bigelow Hotel in Ogden.  It turned out AMAZING!!! And I was so pleased with how it all went.  The kids looked amazing and performed so well.  We added the bells to it as well, and it was beautiful!  Check it out on YouTube!  It is called "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by Vocal Motion Show Choir.

Later that same day (Dec 4th) we had the VM Youth Company perform at North Ogden's Tree lighting Ceremony.  It was cute!  And Cold!!

It was already a long weekend, but Sunday proved to just add to the craziness.  We had church, two choir practices, a primary meeting and then we rushed up to Tremonton for Alivia and Preston's piano recital.  They did great and we are so blessed to have Grandma as their teacher!

The rest of the week wasn't as crazy as that weekend and I even got to sneak in a little lunch with my pickleball ladies in celebration of Christmas!  It was so wonderful!

Black Friday here we come!

We ended up bringing Savannah home with us and she was able to come Black Friday Shopping with Kaylee and me.  We found Kaylee a dress for an upcoming video shoot and even Savannah found a handful of dresses!  Kaylee ended up babysitting that night and Nick was busy, so I took Alivia and Savannah to "A Christmas Story" at Centerpoint with my mom!  My dad was still not feeling the best.  It was such an adorable play!!!  The next day, I had Nick get out all of the tree stuff and I managed to get the tree decorated and all the Christmas decor out!  Including new stockings the girls helped me pick out at Target.

Thanksgiving 2021

Since Carson had to work Wednesday, we drove down to Holden on Thursday to have dinner with the Bennett side of the family.  The cousins were there it was fun to see everyone.  We played a little Cover your Assets before dinner.  Dinner was delish!!  The kids hung out we just chilled the rest of the day.  It was a pretty quick trip and we drove home that evening.

Pre Thanksgiving Stuff

We squeezed in as much as we could before Thanksgiving break.  My cute bell choir has been doing a great job rehearsing in the mornings before school on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Alivia has done phenomenal!!

Carson got a job at Smiths the beginning of November and likes it okay.  But the schedule is a bit much and as I type this, he has now gotten a job at North Ogden Jr High cleaning, which has a way better schedule.  He ended up working the Wednesday before New  Years so we decided to do an early matinee movie at Walkers to see Ghostbusters!  Then he headed off to work and we took the kids to Farmington Station to do some shopping and have dinner.  It was fun, but we sure missed Carson!

Harvest for Carson

Carson got asked to the Harvest Girls Choice dance at Weber on November 20th.  He went with a cute girl from his seminary class named Sammy.  (I think that was her name...haha)

On Sunday, with more help from Jerid and Nick's cousin Curtis and his amazing crane, they were able to get the trusses on the shop and that is when we realized just how NOT LITTLE this thing is!  It is going to be so awesome though when it is all done!

Not a "Little Shop"

First, I have to share this cute picture of Preston and all the pins he has been collecting!  A cool guy in our ward (Brian Cochran) has been supplying these pins!
Now on to the 'little' shop!  We got our trusses and wood delivered so quickly!  We didn't expect our trusses to come for like a month and they were there in two days!  So Nick's Brother Jarid, with help of my brother Matt, they got started with the framing!!  During all of this, I snuck away with Kaylee and Kamree and did some shopping at the cutest boutique in Brigham City called Indulge!
