Bennett Family 2021

Here are the pictures we took in November with Cheri Buys at Saltaire.  It was such a fun photo shoot and I am so pleased with how they turned out!

Family Picture & BYU Dancesport

Our second weekend in November was crazy busy just like the first!  We did family picture at Saltair with the amazing Cheri Buys!  We love her as our photographer and are so grateful she opened up a mini shoot just for us!!  It was a fun experience and we went with a formal look for this years pictures.  See next post on how they turned out! After pictures, we stopped at Smokin' Bones BBQ in Bountiful for dinner.  They have the best BBQ Pork Pizza!  The kids loved it!

The next morning on Saturday, November 12th, we got up early and I took Kaylee and Joshua to BYU for the Dancesport Competition.  They danced three dances and made it through to the 2nd round on each one before getting cut.  They learned a lot and I was proud of them for not giving up.  It was a hard competition and we are still early in the season and they have already improved their routines with lots of practice!

Since we were done early enough, we had lunch at Zupas and snagged tickets to go see BYU's Vocalpoint!  It was SUCH a fun show!!!!  And a fun way to end the day!

Happy 21st Anniversary To Us!

Nick and I celebrated our 21st Anniversary on November 10th.   It was a Wednesday, and since I teach most of the evening, he came home from work early so we could do lunch together.  (Zupas...yum!).  Then we stopped by home depot to get a new faucet for our kitchen sink and he was able to install it that afternoon.  What an exciting way to spend our anniversary, huh!?  Can't believe it has been that long!!!  Makes me feel kind of old!  Haha!  But hopefully we have just as much fun and success the next 41 years!

North Ogden's Veterans Day Program

Vocal Motion did a great job performing at North Ogden's Veterans Day program on Sunday, November 7th.  The weather was quite a bit chillier than the day before, but there was no rain or wind, so that helped!  We sang the National Anthem and A Patriotic Medley.  They had a great speaker and the sunset and setting was beautiful!  I love looking at the flag in Coldwater Canyon!!

Busy November Weekend!

It was exciting to see the gravel delivered for the cement guys to prep to pour the cement in the shop!!  That was the same busy weekend of Veterans Day.  Vocal Motion was performing at North Ogden City's Veteran's program on Sunday, so we had a rehearsal on Saturday and it went great!  We had to load up the risers and get them to the amphitheater.  So grateful for Nick and Carson who are always willing to help with Vocal Motion!

That evening, we visited my dad.  Earlier in the week, he had some heart palpitations that required a visit to urgent care that led to a procedure in the hospital to shock his heart back to a good rhythm.  He stayed overnight in the hospital because they also found blood clots in his lungs.  It was a little scary, but he did great and they sent him home on Saturday.  We visited to make sure he was okay!  Tiffany and Mia were able to come down as well, so we enjoyed dinner with them as well!

I love my dad so much and I can't imagine something happening to him.  He is one of my biggest supporters and I am so grateful for his perspective and love he gives.

The Major 2021

A few years ago, North Ogden's Mayor, Brent Taylor, was killed in Action in Afghanistan.  It was such a sad time for our community, but one silver lining is the amazing flag that now hangs in Coldwater Canyon each year around Veterans Day.  One of the coolest things I get to do is hike up there with my cute friends and enjoy the Major and the beauty around it.  It was pretty cold and wet weather the weeks it was up this year, but we lucked out and found a clear morning to do a quick hike.  I just love the flag and our country, so this means a lot to me.
