Red Ribbon Week & Halloween!!

I really loved that our school did red ribbon week the same week as Halloween, so all the craziness could be contained in one week!  Crazy hair day was one of the days and Preston wanted pigtails!  So that is what he got.  He took pictures to send them to Nick at work.  He is so funny!
Both kids had piggy tails all over their heads, which was fun for a morning bell practice!
Alivia made her own costume with her friends, which I loved since it meant I didn't have to!  They all dressed up as cereal killers!  haha!
They were able to wear their costumes to school on that Thursday and do the annual costume parade, which was held outside.  I wasn't able to go since I had pickleball league that morning, but the kids didn't seem to mind!  I sure LOVE my pickleball league and I even play with Krissy's aunt Jan!  She is awesome!

We didn't have school Friday, so we slept in a bit and I got to do a fun workout with Kaylee! Before having a fun lunch date with her!

Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year, we opted to do all of our festivities and trick or treating on Saturday.  We bought pumpkins Saturday morning at a stand in Willard and got home just in time for the kids to carve them before heading out with friends to go trick or treating.  So grateful they are all old enough to do that on their own!  Kaylee dressed up as an M&M, Alivia was a Cereal Killer and Carson went as a big baby!  Kaylee & Alivia joined their friends for trick or treating, Carson went to a party in the Valley and Preston, Nick and I went to the Bowdens for pizza and trick or treating like we have in years past.  I made it back home and passed out candy while watching twilight.  We didn't seem to get as many trick or treaters this year, but I didn't complain.  It was a nice evening!!!

Primary Program

We had our Primary Program on 24th and the kids did so good.  As 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency, it was my job to help put it all together.  I was very pleased with how it all went.  We have a very small primary, so only about 28 kids were there but it was sooooo good.  It was fun to have my parents join us!  Afterwards, we had a party in Primary to reward the kids for all their hard work.

So I took this pic, because I really love my work out room.  I use it every day and I just want to remember how much I love it!
Kaylee and Josh have been working really hard getting ready for some competitions.  It is fun to see her dance!
It is definitely fall weather!  I think it looked so cool one morning when we couldn't even see the mountains because of the storm clouds.

We had a great time filming the Senior Company Music Video "Swing into Christmas".  Carson did fantastic as a bell ringer!

Blessings & Video Shoots

We sure love Grandma Joy!  And feel so lucky that she is Preston & Alivia's piano teacher.  It is a great way to see her every week!  The piano part is just a bonus!
Check out the shop!  We got everything back filled, and it was almost a disaster!  The day AFTER they pulled the forms off the cement, the east dirt wall collapsed!!  If it would have happened the day before, someone could have been killed or hurt.  Or before they poured the cement, we would have had the worst mess to clean up!  We are so blessed and thankful that it didn't happen any sooner.

With Halloween coming up, our ward hosted a hallween party.  Kaylee was very helpful decorating the trunk for the primary's trunk or treat car!  It ended up being a fun party!!
We did a video shoot for the Junior and Senior Companies at the Maria Montessori school and they were fantastic and so fun!   Kaylee had a solo for "Christmas Hallelujah".  She did great!  Love our Vocal Motion Team!

Colder weather, cheer and recording studio!

As we got into October, the weather turned cold and it became sweater weather.  Look how cute Kaylee looks in her sweater, which after this picture, we realized she was wearing backwards!  Haha!
The frozen weather didn't stop us from getting the cement poured and actually helped keep the ground frozen enough so it didn't cave in while they were working on it!  (more about that later).

Alivia has been loving cheer and I was able to attend a little performance at the end of class right before Halloween to see a halloween dance and her cheer routine.  She is adorable and their team is awesome!
Kaylee got to go into the studio and record a solo for their class song "Christmas Hallelujah" for Vocal Motion.  She did great!
Maria was my life saver and helped me make three big "Snow Balls" for the snowman we needed to build for Youth Company's music video.  It was a mess, so I was grateful that she was able to help me!
We took in the kids to record their class songs and they did so good!!

We filmed the videos the very next week, so it was a busy time for all of us!!
