Big House in Bear Lake

Right after Carson's court of honor, we loaded up as quick as we could and headed up to Bear Lake to spend a few days and New Year's at a huge house with a bunch of friends.  We made it there, driving really slow through Logan Canyon, around 10:45 PM.  We could have waited until morning, but we were so excited we just wanted to get up there.  Our friends Nate Marilinda Hales put the whole thing together with 16 other families.  The house we stayed at was over 16K Square Feet, 20 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, 23 fire places, 5 kitchens, 2 play rooms and one big giant red slide!!!  It was the most amazing house!!!

The kids got their own set of bunk beds to sleep in!  It was such a great set up.  We were on the 3rd floor with the Breagger Family and the Keller Family.  It was such a great trip!  We got up and had breakfast the next day and then after lunch did some swimming at the local pool we had rented for just our party.  So it was about 97 of us there!  It was quite a party!  

 

Carson's Eagle Court of Honor

On Sunday, December 29th, Carson had his Eagle Court of honor with 7 other boys from our ward.  It was such a neat event.  We had lots of family there to support him, including Uncle Ryan that was in town from California.  They had quite a few presentations from the ward, the Stake Young Men, and even the local VFW.  They presented the boys with a flag, it was really neat!  We are so proud of Carson and we are so grateful for all his leaders!  Carson gave his mentor pin to Nick, which is so deserved.  Nick has been to almost every campout and activity to help Carson get to being an Eagle Scout.  Way to go Carson!  We love you!

Painting Time!

My amazing dad spend quite a few days before Christmas getting another room downstairs mudded and taped, so we could get it painted.  So on Friday and Saturday, we were able to get it painted along with Carson's room.  Gma & Gpa Bennett, along with Uncle Ryan, came up for Carson's Eagle Court of Honor, and was able to help us in the basement.  It was great!  We enjoyed having them up overnight.  Gma even taught Kaylee how to make toffee.  

Polar Express Party!

The day after Christmas we had a fun Polar Express Party with my side of the family.  It was so fun having all of my siblings and their family there.  Even Natalie was able to bring Liam for a little bit.  We did our book & sock exchange before having pancakes for dinner.  Then we played some games and visited.  The kids had a great time putting on a play and making blankets.  Love my family!!!
