Kaylee's Talent Show!

I love all the talent shows at the end of the school year!  It was Kaylee's turn last week at the 4th grade talent show.  She first performed with Lauren singing a song we are doing in Performance Academy, "What is this Feeling".  They did great!  Then Kaylee performed a foxtrot with her partner Adam to "Don't Worry Be Happy".  It was adorable!  She did great and I am always impressed how she loves to perform.  She is so my child!

Mother's Tea Party with Preston

I got invited to a Tea Party with Preston at his preschool.  We dressed up and attended this fun even on Tuesday, May 15th.  It was a fun time making crafts, including making a flower wrist corsage and painting a picture frame.  They sang us songs and we got to guess whose mom was it from a picture they drew and questions they answered!  I loved it!  Especially the chocolate strawberries they served.

We love Teacher Brandi and we are so sad that we don't have anyone else in Preschool!  She is just amazing!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Wow!  May is just flying by and it has been so busy that it makes it hard to blog often!  But let's catch up!  First with Mother's day!  We enjoyed a quiet and easy going mother's day with church and lots of cute candy and questionnaires filled out by the kids!  Those are my favorite!  Being a mom is a lot harder than I ever imagined it to be, yet more rewarding than I can even handle!  So grateful for these cuties who call me mom!
After church, the kids enjoyed playing on Carson's new hoaver board!  Preston is pretty good at it for such a little kid!  Maybe the closer to the ground you are the easier it is.  However, we have now had to confine the board to the basement or outside since my baseboards, fridge and furniture all now look more banged up than I would like to see!  We also got a quick visit from my parents and enjoyed some home made (meaning I made it at home from a bag) orange chicken and fried rice.
I love my mom and all that she has done for me!
I was excited to get through my busy first two weeks in May, thinking that it would be so easy going after that....boy was I wrong!  It just got even crazier for many other reasons!  They did a fun choir party on Monday at the end of school where all the kids celebrated the year by watching a slide show, eating cupcakes and wishing Mrs. Chertudi a Happy Birthday!

I seriously love my choir friends!!!   They make my life amazing and I am blessed to have them as friends!  That night after piano lessons, we attended Kaylee's end of year Orchestra concert at the Ogden Branch Library.  She did great, but overall we were a little disappointed in how the program was ran this year and the teacher she had.  We may have to do it a little different next year if she continues with the violin.

Happy Retirement Mrs. Brower

To finish off our crazy busy week, we had a busy Saturday.  It started with a Disneyland Rehearsal for Performance Academy in Woods Cross.  We had all 80 girls come and practice the show!  It was a long day, but we got a lot done and it should be fun!  We rushed out of there by 2:30 so we could make it up to Grandma Brower's retirement party that was happening from 3-5 at her church.  Us kids put it all together, with Natalie heading it all up.  We are so glad she is part of our family and is willing to always work so hard when it comes to stuff like this.  Her and Krissy did a great job decorating and coming up with the theme and decorations.  We all brought different desserts and it turned out well.  We made it there by 3:45 so we caught most of it and then stayed for a yummy cafe rio dinner.  We all ate way too much, but it was so fun to be with family and get to celebrate my mom and her amazing career as a teacher!  I can't believe she is finally retired!!!!!  Yay!!!!!

So a really cool thing....Krissy had this great idea to give my mom this cool water color painting of our family.  This way we could include everyone, even Braydon.  Gee I sure miss him!  But this picture is perfect and I can't wait to get a copy to hang up in my house!

Ogden Symphony Ballet Benefit Concert

Thursday morning, we met up to put all the props away and organize a few things in the choir closet.  I love the ladies I get to work with in the choir!  They are more than just choir friends, they are amazing friends!!!  Traci and Michelle are just the coolest people you will ever meet!!!  I love their guts so much!
The day was pretty laid back and I was able to get prepared for the Handbell Choir Performance that night at the Ogden Symphony Ballet Benefit Concert.  We had auditioned a month ago and we made the cut of over 50 youth performers and performed last out of 10 performers that night.  It was so cool!  I have loved working with these kids and I think they are just the cream of the crop!  I am sad that almost all of them are going to junior high next year!  sniff..sniff...  I am going to miss them but I am excited to work with the rest of them again next year!
We had to go early for a dress rehearsal, so some of the bell parents offered to make us a picnic lunch and we were able to eat before the concert started.  It was so nice of them!

My parents were able to come down and watch, along with Carson and Nick.  It was a fun night!
On Friday, I pretty much took the day off since I didn't have anything that day, which was a nice break from such a busy week.  We did make it to the BDO and picked up cookies for Grandma's retirement party the next day and some water toys for the kids.  Preston and Alivia were excited to try them out, but because it was cold and rainy, they used the kitchen sink!
Carson also found a fun new toy at the BDO that day!  A Hover Board!!!  He paid for half of it and it was a great price, and honestly it is the funnest thing and we probably need to buy a few of them so we can all ride them together.  I will post more about that later!
