Fieldtrip to the Grocery Store!

Last Thursday, Alivia and her school went on a field trip to Smith's.  Preston tagged along with us and we all enjoyed the tour and free samples.

After school that day, Brittany and I took Annie and Kaylee to walmart to sell some Little Caesar Fundraiser cards.  We sold a few before it started to rain, so we made it a short night, but were able to also do some selling to people in the ward who had wanted some.  It is a great way to make them earn their Disneyland passes.

Easter Time!

When we made it back from Idaho Falls, Nick and I made a last minute decision to go out to dinner with the McConkies to Bella's.  We left Carson home to babysit, since we were just down the road and he did a great job!  Dinner was great and by the time we got home, we were exhausted and put the kids to bed without doing too much prep for Easter.  We got up early to get everyone ready for Easter.  I didn't get the kids any Easter outfits, since they really didn't need any more clothes.  They did get some bubble gum, sidewalk chalk, and some beach toys for Easter.  The girls also got some pj's with pj's for their dolls.  They loved them!  I sure love my kiddos!
The primary kids sang two songs for Sacrament for Easter.  They sang "Gethsemane" and "Hosanna", with bells.  They did great.  The Choir also sang two songs and it went well.  After church we went to Matt's for dinner with everyone.  My parents and Chris and Krissy were there.  It was great!

We had a busy week the past week with our normal scouts, dance, activity days, pack meeting, and the rain and snow we had the past week just made it that much more fun!  Even with the rain we had some excavators come in and work on getting the rv pad and front lawn dug down and leveled.  It was a muddy mess!  But Preston loved watching the "Mighty Machine" work.

I borrowed a ukulele from Melissa Chertudi and started learning some primary songs on it so I can use it for Nursery and Primary.  I loved it so much that I told Melissa I needed to get me one of my own and she gave me one of hers that she didn't need anymore.  I am so excited about it!  On Thursday, I picked up Carson from school and he was so excited to tell me all about how he earned a bottle of pop.  He was among only 3 students in his class who didn't have any missing work for the 3rd quarter, so his teacher gave them all a treat.  He picked the pop!  He was so excited about it and was thrilled that he got a 100% on his pretest as well.  He had a great day which made my heart so happy!

Ballroom Dance Competition in Idaho Falls!

The kids didn't have school on Friday the 25th, so we headed to Idaho Falls on Thursday evening so they could compete at the GEM State Ballroom Dance competition on Saturday.  We went up early so we could watch Austin and Mayci compete on Friday.  We drove through some rain, sun, and a rainbow and made it there in time to watch Austin compete in his partner dance, which they ended up taking 1st place!  It was amazing!
Going up on Thursday also meant I was able to go do Jazzercise with Marisa at 5 AM on Friday morning.  It was early, but always so much fun!  I don't get to workout with her often, so I take advantage of the times I get to!
We spent all of Friday watching the team competitions.  The kids came for some of it, then stayed at the Pugmires so they could play with their cousins.  We all met back up that night at the competition and had some Panda take out for dinner.  My mom also arrived Friday evening.

Saturday, we got up super early to be to the high school in Idaho Falls by and ready to dance at 8 AM.  They did 4 dances for syllabus.  Waltz, Swing, Samba, and Cha Cha.  On Waltz and Samba, Kaylee partnered with Wyatt and Carson partnered with Ellie.   They both made it through 2 or 3 rounds before getting eliminated.  On Swing, Carson and Kaylee partnered and made it through all 5 rounds to the final and ended up placing 6th which was amazing considering how many kids were competing!!  They did the cha cha together and had a bit of a disagreement on the floor during their 2nd round because they couldn't find the beat to follow.  They learned a lesson (I hope) on how they need to work together as a team if they want to succeed in ballroom.  Overall, it was an amazing weekend and I am so proud of how well they did and how hard they worked!

Here are some pictures of them dancing.  Carson is #688 and Kaylee has a pink flower in her hair.

We love the support Grandma gives us!  She is awesome!
A Big THANKS to Marisa who fed us and let us stay with them.  It is always a great time at your house!  (And did I mention, that her husband, Justin, just got put in as Bishop in their ward?)

New Shoes!

I spent the Saturday morning after Livy's Birthday at Laura Hill's house going over dance stuff for Disneyland and Performance Academy.  It went a little longer than we expected but we got a lot done.  Since I was so close to Woods Cross, I went to Masherz to see what bike shoes they had and found me a great pair at a great price.  I have had cages on my bike for the past 3 years and decided it was time to upgrade to the real bike shoes!
On Sunday, we went and visited Natalie and brought lasagna for dinner.  Matt had left on business so it was just her and the girls.  They kids had a blast playing the Wii and then we took a walk before dinner.

Monday, Alivia had her yearly wellness visit with Dr. Church.  She is doing good!

I have been running and biking more lately, but still throw in a workout video here and there. Sometimes when it has been awhile, it kicks my butt!
We dyed Easter eggs on Wednesday that week to get ready for Easter.  The kids could have colored eggs all night long!
I have been enjoying my new shoes and have been practicing on my trainer getting used to getting my shoes in and out of my pedals.
The weeks have been flying by!  We get up early every day at 6 AM and even earlier on Choir days at 5 AM.  It is hard, but it sure is fun.  We have such busy days but they are gratifying and full of fun for the most part.  Wouldn't change any of it!

Yee-Haw for Alivia's Birthday!

Just a few more pictures of Alivia's Birthday.  She enjoyed opening up some presents that morning and played with some of her toys before her party.  At her party, Brittany and I looked pretty awesome with our twinner shirts!  Fun, huh?!

After the party, she played some more with toys before we all met up with Grandma Joy at Texas Roadhouse for dinner that night.

She loved getting on the saddle!  It was the highlight of the night!
