It's official! Chris is married!!! We are so happy to have Krissy part of our family! We had a wonderful day yesterday at their wedding. We got up early and headed to the Salt Lake Temple. The wind was horrible all night long and it continued through the day, but that didn't slow us down! We were just glad that it wasn't snowing or a blizzard! The kids had fun in the youth room while we attended the sealing. It was so sweet to see my dad tear up when he saw all of our family, spouses included, in the sealing room. I got a little emotional myself! After the sealing we braved the cold outside and took just a few pictures very quickly! They were so smart and took wedding pictures a few weeks earlier when it was much warmer! After the temple we headed north to Brigham City to have the luncheon at Maddox. It was delicious. We dropped Preston off at Kellie's house and her daughter Holly watched him so we didn't have to take him with us. It was wonderful! After the luncheon we headed to Tremonton for the reception at the Elwood Church. They did a great job decorating and served donuts and hot cocoa as the refreshment. It was so much fun. They had a ton of people come. It was a line out the door all night long. I even got to see a few friends from high school. After the reception, they cut the cake and threw the bouquet. Krissy was so thoughtful and had little flowers for all the girls. They loved it! They left the reception in her dad's cool vintage car. It was so romatic!! And cold!! Holy cow it was such a cold day! It was also a WONDERFUL day! I know they are going to be such a great couple and I can't wait to see how their life progresses!

Another year...another round of skating!
We had such a fun time skating at the rink in Delta last year that we just had to do it again this year! So Saturday we headed over to Delta around 7 for a few hours of skating. It was a lot of fun! The kids spent the whole summer rollerblading and got really good at skating, so it was so much more enjoyable for them (and me!). Alivia was very independent like she was last year and held her own. Preston loved skating, but didn't last long and spent most of the time playing on the side of the rink on the toys. It was also a little different then last year since it was open skate. Last year we had rented the whole place to ourselves. It was pretty crowded but it was still a lot of fun!
I hope we make it a yearly tradition!!!

Christmas Day in Holden
We headed to Holden around 2 and got there in time to open presents with all our cousins. We draw names so each cousin has another cousin. My kids got legos, a doll house, stuffed animals and a book. The two little ones got a fun remote control car that is just their size. They have played with them non stop! Carson got a fun science electric set and Kaylee got a cute crazy monkey toy.
Nick got a nice coat from his sister and I got cute purses from Ted and Karen. We enjoyed a yummy ham dinner and just enjoyed being with everyone.
Christmas 2014
Christmas morning did not disappoint this year! I told the kids not to wake me up before 7 AM. They were up though a little after 6, so Nick got up with them and let them watch tv while me and the little kids slept. Right before 7 they came in all excited and woke me up with a whispering "Merry Christmas". I got up and found Alivia was awake and as I was about to suggest we eat first while Preston was asleep, he came out of his room doing a cute little jog to meet everyone at the top of the stairs. He was one happy kid! I think he knew it was a special morning! So we headed down stairs to see what Santa had brought, with a quick stop for a quick picture.
Santa kept it pretty simple this year. Each child got a few things in the stocking, a box of cereal and a toy. Carson got his semi truck he has been begging for, Kaylee and Alivia got a real life doll set, and Preston got a fun vtech car track. They were so excited!
We then spent the next hour opening up presents from under the tree. The kids got clothes, books, pj's, and more. Kaylee got a big case of 100 gel pens, Alivia got lots of books, an Elsa dress and Frozen microphone. Carson got some basketball clothes and a letter explaining that he gets to play jr. jazz with all of his friends starting in January. Preston got some more clothes and a bath toy. Dad got some new garments and shirts. I got a blog book and some slippers. (Our big present was the four wheelers we bought in September).
After we opened up all the gifts, we found two more under the tree for Carson and Kaylee. They opened them and were so surprised to find two new kindle fires!!! They each got their own. They were ecstatic! Kaylee kept telling me all day she couldn't believe it was hers and it was the best present ever! They came in handy for the drive down to Grandma's house later that day.
After opening presents, we finally had breakfast around 9. We had our traditional monkey bread and chocolate milk. We let the kid play while we got ready and packed to head to Holden. The best surprise and Christmas gift we all got was that it snowed! It snowed all day on Christmas and it was awesome. It hasn't snowed once this year so it was a much needed surprise! We have been playing in it since we got to Holden, so it was just such a treat!
