Sunday was Fathers day and we had a blast celebrating it not only with Dad, but with Papa Bear as well. We got up early so we could get ready for church and so the kids could give Dad his Fathers day card. I think it was a hit! It was a fun Candy Bar Card that talked about how they were going to give him lots of money but it slipped through their "Butterfingers". It was cute! They also filled out some fun questionnaires about him. They also gave him an innertube for his bike and a new pair of flip flops.
The kids also gave a fun candy bar card to Papa Bear for Fathers day. Along with some questionnaires.
They had fun with Papa Bear there.
After church we enjoyed a yummy lasagna and corn on the cob dinner and some play time with Uncle Ryan, Gma & Papa.
It was such a great afternoon spent with family. Alivia was mostly happy during the day, until I wanted to take a picture of the two girls in their new monkey shirts. She didn't want anything to do with getting her picture taken....or with Kaylee who kept trying to hold her and pick her up to take the pictures. Either way, she was mad. And I just laughed!!!!
Happy Fathers Day to Nick...the best dad ever! He really is! He is always so amazing with the kids, willing to play with them, help them, feed them, bathe them, put the to bed, and just be there for them. I couldn't have asked for a better dad for our children! We love you!!!!

Tasty Dinner, Trampoline & a Tent!
On Saturday, after the car show, we enjoyed a lazy Saturday afternoon and evening. We had an absolutely amazing dinner that night. We grilled hamburgers, had yummy pasta salad, grilled corn on the cob, and fruit. It was the perfect summer evening meal! We all enjoyed it, even Livy!!!
It was fun having Uncle Ryan there with us. The kids loved playing with him and he is always so cute with the kids. He even impressed the kids with his trampoline skills.
That night, Nick put up the tent in the family room and let the kids sleep in it that night. Nicks parents were flying in late from a vacation and were staying with us that night, so the kids let them and Uncle Ryan borrow their rooms for the night. I don't think they felt too bad about it!
It was just such a fun day between the car show and hanging out. With our kids being older it makes it so fun to just spend time as a family. This summer is going to be a blast!
At the Carwash!
Last week I was needing to wash the van, and since the weather was so hot I thought it would be perfect to have the kids help me wash the van....in the front yard! So we got out the buckets, wash clothes, water, and soap and we got to work. The van turned out super clean and the kids were having so much fun they got out their four wheelers and washed them too. They did this last year too and it was fun this year since Alivia was right there along with them wanted to help. It was cute! I didn't get the camera out until after the van was washed so I missed getting pictures of them washing the van...but I think that had even more fun washing their own vehicles that were their own size.
This will probably be how we wash the van during the summer since it not only cleans the van well, but also gives the kids something fun to keep them busy! It's a win win for everyone!

Bountiful Car Show
Friday evening we went to the Bountiful Cruise In Car Show. They do it every year, but this is the first we have been able to go to the Friday night events. They do kind of like a parade where all the nice cars go up and down the street for everyone to see. The kids loved that! Then at 7:30 they did the 'Burnout' where cars try and smoke out their back tires in only 50 feet. It was cool and I had never seen that sort of thing before. I didn't take pictures, because I just didn't have my camera handy during it. It was such a fun event and it was neat to see so many people on Bountiful Main street. They had tons of food vendors and it smelled delicious!!! The Rotary club does this every year to raise money for Coats for Kids. So not only is it fun, but it is for a good cause.
The silver car behind Livy in this picture is so cool! It is polished aluminum so it looks like a mirror. One of my favorites!
On Saturday, Nick worked for a few hours then came home and took Carson to Tball practice at 10. Afterwards, we headed to Bountiful City park for some more of the car show and some lunch. They had bounce houses, characters, entertainment, food, and of course LOTS of cars to keep us entertained.
It was quite warm and so we didn't stay too long! We got home and did some work around the house and got ready for a super fun bbq with Uncle Ryan that night. I think we will go every year to this event since it was so much fun and free to attend!
Tball, Rec, and Reading!
We had a super fun week last week! Carson had his first tball game of the season on Wednesday. Nick is the coach, which Carson is super excited about. The team color this year is Black, and their team Name is Black Ninjas. Like last year, five other boys from our neighborhood are on his team. There are 6 new players we didn't know, but they are great kids! We are excited for the rest of the tball season. Carson loves baseball!
On Thursday, they had summer rec again and Kaylee did Tennis and Carson learned about pirates. They both did great!
On Friday morning, we went to the Woods Cross Literacy Program. They do this every year on Fridays. They hold it at Mills park and always have fun activities for the kids to do. This time, staff from the Bountiful IHC Instacare was there to talk about keeping your head safe by wearing your seat belt and wearing a helmet when riding a bike or scooter. They did a fun activity of coloring a raw egg then sending it down a ramp in a car without a seat belt to show the kids what will happen if it was you not wearing your seat belt.
We also had a chance to play on the playground then we broke into small groups for some reading time.
They handed out fun bags of treats and all the kids got their own book bag to take home along with a book. It was awesome! And a great way to spend our Friday morning. We plan on attending each Friday this summer.

Summer Recreation Fun!
I signed the kids up for some Summer Rec classes through Woods Cross City. Carson participated in it two years ago and enjoyed it, so we thought it would be fun for both kids this year. Kaylee is doing the "Balls of Fun" class and Carson is doing the "Adventure Camp". They are on Tues & Thurs at 9 for three weeks. It works great for getting us out of the house and giving us something fun to do in the mornings. Kaylee did basketball today and Carson did lots of art stuff about bugs.
Alivia and I just hung out and watched the kids and played a bit on the toys at the park. She LOVES going down the slide...on her tummy. She thinks it is hilarious. Hopefully it will be fun as we continue for the next few weeks!
