Disney Cruise, Day 3

Tuesday was a super fun day! We started it out by going to the character breakfast at Parrot Cay, another one of the dining rooms. Kaylee wore her princess dress for this special breakfast!

We got to the breakfast a little early, so we enjoyed some WARM weather out on deck 4. We were definitely getting closer to Mexico since the weather was getting so nice and sunny!
It was finally time for the breakfast, which was at 10 AM. Since my kids are used to getting up early, we had ordered room service (which is free!!! but excludes gratuity). The kids enjoyed eating a bowl of cereal in our cabin. They thought it was pretty cool! I knew they wouldn't be able to hold off until 10 AM for breakfast. So it was more like a brunch for us. Kaylee was so excited to see Minnie Mouse, she was very disappointed when she saw Minnie walk in, but headed for another section in the room and not to our table. She had a bit of a fit and I had to try and calm her down and explain that she would come but she had to wait her turn. Our servers did their best to keep the kids entertained with some fancy napkin folding and hat making.
Finally....Minnie came to our table and it was so cute to see the kids reaction!
We had a lot of waiting in between characters, so it gave Art more time to make Dad a cool hat!
Then of course Carson and Kaylee had to try it on too!
We got to see Chip and Dale, Pluto, Goofy, Minnie, and of course Mickey Mouse. I am not sure where Donald and Daisy were, we told the kids they were probably out on a date!
It was so fun to watch them make all the hats for the kids. Carson wanted to try it himself. He was kind of figuring it out!
After breakfast, or brunch, the kids wanted to go swimming, so we all got our suits on and enjoyed the water. Yes, even Nick and I. And it was FUN! It was SO hot so it felt good to get in the water!
Since it was so hot, a table in the shade was hard to come by, but we finally were able to get a table so we could enjoy lunch in the shade. Goofy's Galley, was a great place for healthy sandwiches, fruit, and wraps, so we tried it out that day and it was super yummy! It is also just right next to the pool so that was convenient. In fact, on Deck 9 where the pools are, they have a pizza stand, hamburger and hot dog stand (they also had a really yummy grilled chicken there!), the buffet, and the best by far.....the self serve soda station and ice cream station. We definitely got our share of ice cream for the week!
After swimming and lunch, we headed back to the room and the kids zonked right out. I also took a little nap and it felt great!
We then got all cleaned up and headed back up towards dinner which was in Animator's Palate that night.
It was really cool, they did this fun color magic show and even Mickey Mouse showed up to do a bit of a show. I'm telling you, the whole ship is just magical! Everything is thought out to every detail and it is amazing how on a ship with 2,400 passengers and 1,000 crew that you can get such personal service and sometimes feel like you are the only one on the ship!
Again, we had another fun towel animal awaiting us when we got back to our room before the show.
The show that night was "Toy Story: The Musical". And it was SO good! I really can't say it enough of how impressed we were with the entertainment. The kids sat through EVERY show so well and was never bored. Not once! I was impressed again on our 3rd day of the cruise!

Disney Cruise, Day 2

On Monday, I got up before everyone else and headed to deck 9 FWD where they have a fitness area. I had a nice jog on the treadmill as I watched the sun come up over the ocean. The fitness area has a great window view of the whole front of the ship...it is pretty cool. There were quite a few people there along with me. They had about 8-10 treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, weights, and other gym equipment. It was a great set up. That is probably the only thing I didn't get a picture of. I figured even though we were on vacation, I had two good reasons to still work out. 1: Nick was able to watch the kids so I didn't have to worry about what to do with them. 2: Lot's of yummy yummy food! Seriously, I figured the least I could do was work out a little to compensate for all the food I was planning on eating! I think it helped, since I only gained a few pounds while we were gone! I was expecting like 10 lbs! After I was done I went back to our cabin and we all headed up to the buffet on deck 9 for some breakfast.
The further south we got the warmer the weather was, but it was still warm enough for the kids to want to do some more swimming. So we spent about an hour watching the kids swim and play.
After they got done swimming, we changed our clothes and grabbed some lunch before heading to the movie "Cars 2" in 3D. They have 2 theaters they use and this one was constantly showing Disney Movies, new and old.
We only made it about halfway through when the kids decided they were done. They don't like wearing the glasses for 3D movies, so it didn't really surprise us. Since we didn't pay extra to go to the movie we were more than happy to go find something else to do. We decided the kids might need a nap so we headed back to our cabin, but made a quick stop on Deck 4 to enjoy the ocean view and relax a bit.
Do you see Nick in the picture with us? He thought that was pretty clever! So we made it back inside to head back to the cabin and we got sidetracked again, but this time at the Disney Store. Go figure! We looked around and found a few things we liked. So quick story about Carson's flip flops. I saw like 2 pairs floating around the house and garage (where we keep a rack of shoes) but we couldn't find any with both shoes to take with us the day we were packing. So I figured we could find some at a store on our way down. I figured we could find a Target or Ross in California that would have some even though we are not in summer anymore. But no. We couldn't find any flip flops when we stopped in CA to look. So luckily we at least brought his crocks to wear for sandals. While we were in the Disney Store they had cute blue flip flops with Mickey Mouse Ears printed on the soul. That is exactly what we needed so he could have some flip flops to wear, but of course they weren't just a few dollars like you would expect to pay at Walmart. So we did have to pay a premium, but they are cute and he can wear them next summer, as long we we don't loose one of them! We also let the kids pick out one toy. Carson got a watch with switchable faces (including Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto). And Kaylee got a Belle doll dress up set.
We finally made it back to the cabin and the kids both took a nap. I think they were pretty worn out. I was able to curl my hair and finish getting ready for dinner that night. It was formal night, so when the kids woke up they got dressed up and both did their hair and we headed to Animator's Palate for dinner.
Since this was our first night with early dine, we had a new table to sit at. They were very kind to show us the way to our table...Kaylee loved that!
Since we had a new table, we also got new servers. Art and Michaela. We loved them!!!! Especially the kids. We also sat on a table for 6 so we got to know a lady named Darcy and her son Mateo, who was 4. They are from Vancouver, BC and were so nice. It was fun to spend the week having dinner with them.
So dinner was amazing that night. I ordered Gnocchi Alfredo and it was delicious!! Our servers were amazing and took such good care of our kids. They even cut up all of their food for them. When I offered to do it they said it was their job to do it. Nice!
It was always a lot of fun seeing what was going to be on the dessert menu. For the most part they were pretty good. Very fancy. The portions are small and the chocolate had a different taste to it. Probably because I am used to cheap chocolate, not the fancy kind. But it was always fun trying new things.
After dinner we headed to the Golden Mickeys. It was a super fun show in an awards type style. Again, the cast was amazing and very entertaining. We were blown away!
We had a fun new towel origami when we got back to our room that night! A monkey!!
Since the kids had a nap, we thought it would be fun to do some late night swimming. Okay, more like hot tubbing since that is what we actually did. It was so fun. Goofy's pool is located on Deck 9 in the middle and you can sit and watch movies on the big screen outside. That is where the hottubs are. It makes it very fun!
It was once again an amazing day and we were pretty excited for some more fun on Tuesday!
