Festival of Trees

Last Thursday, Nov 29th, Kaylee had a performance at Festival of Trees in Sandy.  Just like last year, this was a late evening performance.  They were scheduled at 8:10 PM.  Normally, the kids are in bed at that time!  We decided it would be best to have me take just the older two kids, so Nick could get the babies in bed and he could also get to bed at a good time since he had to work the next day.  Both Carson and Kaylee were excited to go.  Kaylee was just happy to get to wear her new costume and put on make up!  She looked adorable!!!

We got there a little early, because I knew parking would be a mess, which it was, but we lucked out and got a semi decent spot.  We had about an hour to walk around and look at all the trees and get a snack before she had to perform.  I loved all the trees!  It makes me want to come up with a new color scheme for our tree next year.  Some were very creative!  This one has a train that is on the tree!
Last year when we went, Carson got a cinnamon roll and milk, and so that is what he requested again this year for a treat.  Kaylee opted for a granola bar and juice box.

Kaylee did a great job with her solo.  She started singing the wrong part of the song, but quickly fixed it and kept on going on doing a great job!  I was so proud of her!  She also did great with her dance.  It is always fun to watch little kids dance and sing...they are so adorable!

I am so glad that Kaylee loves to dance and sing!  I am also glad that she is such a good student and is always attentive and willing to practice for her teacher.  It will be fun to see her progress as she gets bigger!
Her next performance is this Saturday at a Retirement home, and then her big Christmas Recital is at Weber State on Monday the 17th.  It should be fun!
