Thursday-Cozumel, Mexico
We spent Thursday ported in Cozumel, Mexico. The water there was so blue!!!! I was worried that it was going to be rainy, but we didn't see anything but sunshine! We slept in until around 9 that morning and then got up and ready and ventured out to the port. 
We did a little bit of shopping and had some bracelets made for the kids with their name on them.
This was kind of like a mall set up with stores and kiosks. And this guy.....
We watched him scare person after person while we had the bracelets made. It was very comical! Then we headed back to the boat for some lunch and to fill our water bottles before meeting up with our excursion tour group.
We decided to book an ATV Jungle Tour for our excursion in Cozumel. It was fantastic! We met up with our tour guide at 1 and before we boarded the bus to go to the middle of the island, he let us stop at some restrooms at the mall. So I took advantage of it and went to use the first stall's toilet and realized it didn't have a seat, so I went to the next stall over and that one too did not have a seat. That is when I realized that is just how all the toilets are in the bathroom so I grinned and bared it and once again read a sign on the wall that said not to put toilet paper into the toilet, use the garbage can. Ugh...again! But we got on our way and enjoyed about a 20 minute bus ride out of the city, onto the ONE main highway that takes you across the island. It put us right in the middle of the island in the jungle. That is where we got instructions on how to drive the ATV's and got geared up to go!
They had given us these little stickers that read ATV on them....the tour guide was hilarious. He also said that are knows as Mexico GPS and that is how they will find us if we get lost! Of course, he was kidding, but it was funny to hear him crack jokes the whole time we were on the tour!
They gave us these cool bandannas to wear underneath our helmets! We even got to keep them!
The helmets were awesome, but I had a hard time getting mine on the right way! I am a dork!
We spent the next few hours riding the ATV's in the beautiful jungle of Cozumel. I thought it would be a pretty smooth ride, but it was a pretty bumpy ride! It had rained the day and night before, which helped make it not dusty, but it was a bit muddy, which just made it that more fun!
There were a few times we stopped to wait for the stragglers in the group. There were 5 couples, along with our 2 tour guides. There was a couple in front of us who ride atv's all the time and we had no problems keeping up with them. The 3 couples behind us however were new to four wheelers, and between the terrain being a bit bumpy and the four wheelers not being automatic transmission, they took it pretty slow. But it was nice to stop and enjoy the scenery and realize how amazing it was to get to be there!
We stopped at two separate myan ruins. They are over 2000 years old they told us. It was very interesting to hear the history behind the island of Cozumel.
As I said earlier, it was a pretty muddy ride. I was getting mud splattered everywhere, but Nick thought it was awesome to go splashing through the big mud puddles!
At the second stop, we enjoyed some cold bottled water and visited a burial site. 
They showed us the tombs and different items they have found in the area that have been buried there for thousands of years.

On the way back in, the guy in front of my broke the tie rod off his bike. But the guide gave him his bike and we were back on the road in no time!

After we were done, they let us use the restroom there before we got back on the bus. And once again, another sign saying not to put toilet paper in the toilet. It really made me thankful for the bathrooms in the USA. We got back to the ship by 5 and had enough time to get cleaned up for dinner. Which was good since Nick looked like he had walked through the mud puddles!
We enjoyed another great dinner! This is the appetizer I ordered. I thought it was so pretty, I had to take a picture of it. It was just a bunch of fresh fruit in a grapefruit with some drizzled fruit sauce on top. Do you notice all the silverware?? It was confusing at first what to use when, but with the help of the waiter, Eko, and waitress, ChiChi, they kept us on track!
At dinner we celebrated Dale's 60th birthday and then the Cruise Line Celebrity had a celebration for their 20th anniversary. They did a bit song and cake thing and the had a flame on the cake. I can't describe what it was, but it was pretty cool. This was our amazing and super nice waiter and waitress ChiChi and Eko. They were so nice and we really enjoyed them all week!

After dinner we enjoyed some music and dancing before going to the show that night.
They also did this big toast for the Cruise Line Anniversary and served everyone some cake!
They also served champagne, but of course we passed on that and enjoyed the cake!
We went to the show that night put on by the Celebrity Dancers and Singers. It was a Broadway review and was very entertaining. Afterwards we did some more dancing, but Nick was more content being the photographer than a dancer....that little stinker!
We had a great, fun, and LATE night. But we knew we could sleep in the next morning so we took advantage and had a great time before heading to bed!
