Getting close...

We are getting so close to getting all the rooms finished and moved around! We have been working hard since the first of the year finishing the two rooms downstairs (Carson's and the Laundry Room). And over the weekend we finished the paint in Carson's room and had carpet installed on Saturday. We even got his bed set up so he was able to sleep in his room on Saturday night. He has been so great and hasn't had any problems sleeping downstairs by himself! He is just such a big boy! We also got started on Kaylee's pink room....we had to do two coats of primer over the blue walls and stripes, but it covered up nicely. Since Nick spent most of the weekend sick, we didn't get the wallpaper up on Monday, but it was worth the wait! Grandma Karen flew in from California this afternoon and before heading home, she helped put the wallpaper up in Kaylee's room. She is very experienced and had it all up super fast!!! Here are some pictures of the progress we have made. Carson and Kaylee had a great time being big helpers for Grandma Karen.
And the finished product. Well, almost, we have a white chair rail we will put up between the wallpaper and the paint...then of course we still need to decorate the rest of the room. I can't wait to see how it all turns out! Kaylee kept saying "It is so pretty mommy..." the whole time they were working on it. We were glad to have Karen's help and the kids loved spending some time with her before she had to leave. We even had a yummy Manicotti dinner with her before she left. Thanks again Karen for all your help, you are amazing!
We had a friend, Justin, come and help put shelves not only in Carson's new room but we added some to Kaylee's new room as well. They are going to be so nice to have!!!
Kaylee was so excited to get her clothes moved into her new room. She was a great little helper!
Carson's room turned out great! I was so happy with the blue color we ended up with. It is called Scribe (Kwal Howell Paint). We just have a few more things to do in his room like hang up the blinds, drapes, and put in the closet doors. Then I still need to find a few things to help decorate his room with, but that can wait for a bit! He loves his BIG room (it is quite a bit bigger than his old room).
We are so thankful for everyone who has helped us with this project! Nick, my dad, Matt, Justin, Karen, and Jana (for all the input on colors and ideas...you rock!). I will take pictures of their rooms when they are all complete, but for now it is nice to see the progress we have made! At this rate, we should have it all ready before the baby gets here. We may even have the crib put up by this weekend in the nursery!
