Papa's Birthday!

We got a lot done on Saturday after my race. We headed back up to Tremonton to finish some work on our rental house and sign a new lease with tenants to get that all taken care of. We had dinner with my parents and then headed home late Saturday night. Then we got up on Sunday and drove down to Holden so we could celebrate Nick's dad's birthday with his family. Aunt Tamra was in town from California so it was fun to have all of Nick's siblings there, since it doesn't happen very often. Almost all of the cousins were there which made it especially fun for our kids! One of the first things Carson did when we got there was show me how he climbs trees! I didn't realize this was a common thing for him to do when he is in Holden! He is just getting so big!!!
Makenna had walked her siblings over to Grandma's house and had put McCall in the wagon. He slept the whole walk over and slept for probably another hour in the back yard while the kids played and dinner cooked! It was the cutest thing!!

Here is Papa Bear opening up his present we got him. We got him a new grilling utensil set, which was perfect since we were grilling that day!!! Every year the kids love to help him open his presents! There were just a lot more helping hands than normal! (And yes that is Kaylee with no pants on....she decided to dump a bottle of water all over her lap on the ride down and so they were drying on the line!)

I love this picture!! 5 years ago I was still pregnant with Carson and now there are 8 kids under the age of 5!!! (Not pictured is Chase and McCall). Ted and Karen also have 4 more older grand kids.

Ryan was in charge of the grill.....he did a pretty good job!! We had grilled BBQ Ribs and Chicken. Dinner is always SO good at Karen & Ted's.

It was such a warm sunny day! No wind and no flies! It was a perfect day for a BBQ Party!!!

Makenna is always so good with Carson and Kaylee. And they adore her just as much!!!!

It took two of them to light the candles on Papa's cake. And again, the kids all had to be there to help!!

Happy 59th Bday Papa!!!!!

After Papa blew out the candles, with help from the little ones of course, they all had a chance to lick the candles!!

It was a short trip, but tons of fun!!!! The whole weekend was a blast!!! Now we are just trying to get everything done and ready to go to California. We leave in just a few days! We are so excited!!! All the driving we did this past weekend was just to get us warmed up for all the driving we have to do this next week!
