Getaway....

Last Friday Nick and I celebrated the 10th anniversary of the day we met. It was March 26, 2000. So Nick surprised me by booking a cabin at the Alaskan Inn. To make things work with preschool and work, we stayed last night (a Monday). We dropped the kids off with Matt & Natalie (which are awesome for taking the kids for us!). Then we did a bit of Easter shopping for the kids since it was a prime opportunity since they weren't with us, and then headed to Olive Garden for dinner. I hadn't eaten there in a long time so it was SO good and we were both extremely pleased with our food choice!! Yum!!! Then we headed up to Alaskan Inn up Ogden Canyon. We stayed here after we got married and for also for several Anniversaries. We pick a new cabin each time we stay. This time we stayed in the Timberwolf. It was perfect since we took the NEW MOON dvd with us and watched it...you know the vampire and wear'wolf' movie! It was so nice to just sit and relax with no interruptions!!!!! It was a great stay!!! This is the cute cabin we stayed in!
I can't believe it has been 10 years since the day we met! Each year seems to go by faster and faster!!! Thanks Nicholas for making this weekend so special!! You are amazing!!!! I love you!!
In our room was this wolf statue....it kind of gave me the creeps, so Nick used it as a coat rack for most of the night so it wouldn't stare at me!

While we were in Ogden, we also had a new DVD and Navigation system installed in our van to help us navigate and entertain during our trip to Disneyland next month. We are so excited to go!!!! The old DVD system worked great, but the sound was pumped through a FM Station and not the car speakers, so this will be an upgrade to what we are used to and it will be a marriage saver having the navigation. No arguing on how to get from Sea World to Disneyland...it will be awesome!!! hehe!!
